A Love That Grew in the In-Between

There are some couples who just fit. From the very beginning, Lauren and Trevor felt like one of those rare, easy, meant-to-be pairings—the kind that make you believe in timing, even when the world feels upside down. Their wedding at Painted Lady Bed & Brew in Albuquerque, New Mexico was a reflection of exactly that: warm, joyful, deeply personal, and full of quiet magic.

Lauren and Trevor met in Ann Arbor, Michigan in February 2020, just weeks before the world shut down. Both were graduate students at the University of Michigan. Trevor studying plasma physics and Lauren in law school, and like so many modern love stories, theirs began on Hinge. What started as casual dating quickly turned into something much deeper as the pandemic forced them into each other’s small, safe COVID bubbles. In a time when everything felt uncertain, they found certainty in each other.

They’ve been inseparable ever since.

After Lauren finished law school, they made the move to Albuquerque in May of 2022, building a life that is equal parts playful, cozy, and deeply connected. Whether they’re hiking New Mexico trails, bowling at Silva Lanes, playing putt-putt at Hinkle Family Fun Center, or hanging out with their Dungeons & Dragons groups, Lauren and Trevor bring joy wherever they go. And when they’re home, they’re happily curled up with their three beloved cats—Laszlo, Temari, and Korra—soaking in the quiet, simple moments that make a relationship strong.

Their wedding day was never about perfection. It was about people. Trevor’s family traveling from Michigan, Lauren’s from California, and friends scattered across the country, all coming together in one place to celebrate the love that grew from a chance meeting into a lifelong partnership. And that kind of gathering, filled with laughter, nostalgia, and genuine connection, is what made their day so unforgettable.
